Water leak detection
AUD $275–$550
per repair · incl. GST
We investigate suspected water leaks in Perth homes, rentals and managed properties. Tell us where you see water or dampness, when it appears and whether it is getting worse. We explain the investigation, any access needed and the proposed repair in a written quote.
Call 0413 477 667 Book water leak detection and repairTell us whether water appears around a pipe joint, tap connection or nearby fixture, and whether it is constant or only appears during use. We inspect the accessible area to establish the repair scope. Photos taken from a safe position can help explain what you have noticed.
For dampness behind a wall, under a floor or around concealed pipework, we assess the accessible plumbing and choose checks and equipment suited to the property. Tell us about previous repairs and any existing access panels. We explain any further opening needed before you approve it. The quote separates leak investigation and pipe repairs from any opening and restoration agreed for the job.
The source may be a tap, flexible hose, supply pipe or waste connection. We identify the affected part before deciding whether the repair involves a fitting or concealed pipework. For a leak at the tap itself, see our tap and mixer repair options; for a damaged pipe that is actively leaking, see burst-pipe repair options for the relevant work.
Damp patches on a wall can have different sources. Tell us whether they appear after rain, during dry weather or after using a shower, tap or appliance. We use the location and timing to assess whether supply or waste pipework needs investigation. Rain entering the building may need a different inspection from a plumbing leak.
Do not open a wall or run fixtures to recreate the leak. Our guide to recording a suspected leak explains what to send from observations you already have. We agree the plumbing investigation and any access before proceeding.

We review when and where the water appears, the accessible plumbing and any relevant history. We then explain the investigation needed and what can be confirmed at that stage. Finding the source and repairing it may be separate tasks, especially where the pipe is concealed.
Once we know where the leak is and how to reach it, we explain the damaged pipe or joint and the proposed repair. The written quote lists the plumbing work and any opening or restoration included. Replacement finishes, painting and other building work need to be listed if they are to form part of the job.
After the agreed repair, we check the connection or section worked on and explain the outcome. If further plumbing investigation or separate building work is recommended, we explain what is needed next. Additional work is agreed with you before it proceeds.
If the damaged pipe has already been identified, see our burst-pipe repair information. If the source is unclear, the guide to reporting a suspected leak explains what you can safely observe. Our company and trade information is available on the About page.
A higher bill is a reason to review water use, but it does not locate a leak. Tell us about changes in use, visible dampness and any meter readings you already have. A running toilet or other water use may also explain meter movement; the source still needs assessment.
You can send existing observations or photos without trying to locate the leak yourself. Include the property contact and any work-order reference. If you need written findings, photos or other records for the owner or managing agent, tell us before booking so we can agree the required scope.
Compare the parts of a leak quote before approving the work:
Existing photos can show the affected area, visible pipework and access without removing finishes. Use our leak reporting guide, send a leak enquiry, or return to the Perth plumbing service overview if another fitting or drainage service better matches the problem.

AUD $275–$550
per repair · incl. GST
Guide conditions: These AUD ranges are for standard-hours, standard-scope work and are incl. GST. Access, materials, extra pipe, cable or circuit work, compliance work, emergency or after-hours work and unforeseen repairs are confirmed in a written quote before work proceeds.
We assess the suspected source and available access, then explain the investigation method. Some concealed leaks need finishes opened to locate or repair the pipe. We confirm any opening and restoration work in the scope before you approve it.
A higher bill can help us understand the concern, but it does not confirm a leaking pipe. Tell us about visible water, changes in use and any readings or records you already have. If the concern is at the meter or public supply network, check Water Corporation guidance before assuming the fault is in the property pipework.
