Power-fault diagnosis / priority attendance
AUD $220–$440
per attendance · incl. GST
We find and repair electrical faults in Perth, including partial power loss and intermittent supply problems. Our licensed electricians check the affected circuits and equipment, explain the findings and provide a written quote for the agreed repairs.
Call 0413 477 667 Book electrical fault findingTell us which rooms, power points or lights have lost power and whether the fault is constant or intermittent. We use this information to guide the checks; it does not identify the cause on its own. If the problem involves supply outside the property installation, we explain which provider needs to handle it.
Tell us when the power cuts out and what was in use at the time. Intermittent faults can need further investigation if they are not present during the visit. Do not keep recreating the fault or using equipment that appears unsafe.
Tripping can be part of a wider power fault; it does not always mean the protective device has failed. We check the installation and explain the repair needed. For repeated RCD trips, see our safety switch and RCD fault repair services to arrange an assessment.

Our electrician reviews the affected area, reported events and access to the installation, then carries out the relevant fault investigation. Finding the cause and repairing it are distinct tasks. We explain the findings before agreeing components, connection repairs or additional circuit work, rather than quoting an undefined replacement based only on the enquiry.
The quote lists the fault finding and agreed repairs. We identify any extra work needed to reach wiring or alter a circuit separately and explain further findings before you approve additional work. The initial investigation does not automatically include a full rewire or every possible repair.
After the agreed repair, we check the work completed and explain any remaining concerns or follow-up. These checks relate to the repair, rather than a full property inspection. For a specific light or outlet job, see our lighting and power point service information to choose the relevant service.
We review what happened, which areas were affected and the findings from checks on site. This helps identify whether the cause is in the fixed installation or connected equipment. You can report the symptoms without trying to reproduce the fault or open equipment.
Ask what the initial investigation includes, what further access or testing would need approval and whether the repair is quoted separately. If the fault does not occur during the visit, discuss the findings and any agreed next step rather than treating the absence of a symptom as proof that the whole installation is fault-free.
Lights and power points may use different circuits. A fault in a connection, circuit or appliance can therefore affect one area while others keep working. Working lights do not confirm a faulty power point is safe. Tell us what happened without operating equipment to recreate the fault.
An intermittent fault may need checks in stages. When it happens, the affected fittings and changes in appliance use help us plan the investigation. The quote confirms the checks and repairs included. Equipment working during the visit does not rule out the reported fault.

Include the suburb, affected rooms or circuits, when the interruption began and any recurrence. For a managed property, add the access contact, work-order number and approval instructions. Our local team covers all six service regions from our office at 140 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000.
